Wellington, New Zealands cosmopolitan capital city is characterized by the surrounding steep hills and its beautiful harbor. A sophisticated city, it is home to many fine museums, libraries, art galleries, theaters and parks within the central city area.
We begin our day with a scenic drive en-route to a local coffee shop enjoying the many highlights along the way. Much like Seattle, coffee in Wellington is a center of public life there. Upon arrival we will be introduced to a coffee roaster who will give us the secrets on making great coffee and of course indulge in a tasty sampling.
We continue on a short walk to a boutique chocolate shop and be treated to taste a variety of flavored hand-crafted chocolates.
Finally we will depart to a popular city restaurant where the chef will introduce us to a treasured delicacy to the people of New Zealand called Abalone also known as the Paua Ravioli along with a wine.
