The 117,000-ton, 2,850-passenger Celebrity Eclipse, the third ship in the innovative Solstice class, debuted in April, 2010.
In an interesting scheduling twist, instead of the normal media splash and cruise-to-nowhere, Eclipse was initially dispatched to Spain to rescue thousands of stranded tourists following weeks of airline disrutions due to the Iceland volcano.
