Choosing a Galapagos Vacation

By far, the most popular is the 10-night package, which includes 3 nights in Quito and 7 nights cruising the islands. Next is the 11-night package, the same as the 10-night, but with 1 extra night to relax in Quito after the cruise. Finally, if you want to include Peru, with Machu Picchu, the 16-night package is an amazing vacation.

What about the 7-night cruises? This is the cruise only, so you'll need to book an Ecuador main-land hotel, airport transfers and your round trip flights to and from the islands. The 10, 11 and 16 night packages that include accommodations & tours in Quito are much more inclusive and convenient with all arrangements taken care of for you. Plus, Quito is a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site that really shouldn't be missed. And, who doesn't want to straddle the equator - one foot in each hemisphere?

North Loop or South Loop? These two itineraries (also known as Inner & Outer Loop) are arranged to meet the strict visitation requirements of the Galapagos Islands National Park. They offer the same level of wildlife viewing, snorkeling and hiking opportunities regardless of the itinerary you choose. Unless there's a specific island you want to visit, don't worry about the itinerary. Select the one that provides the best availability and matches your schedule.
